To access their proprietary data, customers are required to request “proprietary credit reports” in the case of the KHR, and “proprietary cash withdrawal statement reports” in the case of the Central Register. These reports include all information held on record in the KHR and the Central Register about the person requesting the report.

own proprietary credit reports request

All natural persons (individuals) and non-natural persons (businesses) are entitled to access and inspect the data held on record about them in the Central Credit Information System (KHR).

To access their proprietary data, customers are required to request “proprietary credit reports” in the case of the KHR, and “proprietary cash withdrawal statement reports” in the case of the Central Register. These reports include all information held on record in the KHR and the Central Register about the person requesting the report.

The reports are free of any charges or other fees.

ACCESS TO DATA IN THE CENTRAL CREDIT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Under Act CXXII of 2011 (KHR Act), anyone may request any financial institution (reference data provider) to provide official information (proprietary credit reports) about the data held on record about them in the Central Credit Information System (KHR), the parties registering those data, as well as the parties accessing the data, and the time and grounds of each access. Natural persons (individuals) and non-natural persons (businesses) may request proprietary credit reports without any restrictions, free of any charges or other fees.

Under the KHR Act, proprietary credit reports may also be requested directly from BISZ Zrt. by mail or in person, by submitting the completed and signed request form bearing witness signatures.

Requestors may also request official information by visiting any reference data provider in person and requesting their proprietary credit report.

  • Based on documents providing evidence of their identity or powers to represent the business, the requestor completes the appropriate form, which they submit to any branch of the reference data provider.
  • By initiating the appropriate transaction, the reference data provider forwards the request to BISZ Zrt.
  • Based on the transaction received, BISZ Zrt. produces the proprietary credit report within 3 days.
  • According to the requestor’s choice, BISZ Zrt. sends the proprietary credit report either electronically in a compressed and password-protected e-mail attachment, or in paper-based form by posting a sealed envelope to the centre of the reference data provider submitting the transaction.
  • If sent by post, the proprietary credit report is forwarded to the requestor by the reference data provider within 2 business days of delivery, in unopened form, with a certificate of delivery attached.
  • Requestors wishing to ask for their proprietary credit reports via BISZ Zrt. may do so by completing and posting their requests with the content provided for in our Terms of Service, or by using the form available at the bottom of this page.
  • Please note that requests may only be submitted by post or in person at our registered office. Under our Terms of Service, requests submitted electronically (by e-mail or fax) will be rejected.
  • Based on the request received, BISZ Zrt. produces the requestor’s proprietary credit report within 3 days.
  • According to the requestor’s choice of delivery method indicated in the request form, BISZ Zrt. sends the proprietary credit report either electronically in a compressed and password-protected e-mail attachment, or by posting the document to the requestor’s mailing address with a certificate of delivery attached.
Information on proprietary credit reports delivered electronically

When reporting data to e-mail addresses, BISZ Zrt. sends the generated proprietary credit report to the requestor’s e-mail address in PDF format, which can be read using Adobe Reader. In every case, the report is compressed using WinZip, and is password-protected.

Accordingly, opening the attachment requires applications suitable for decompressing the .zip file (e.g. WinZip), and for displaying PDF (e.g. Adobe Reader). Where these applications are not installed on the requestor’s computer, it is recommended to download free versions from the internet.

Information on the method of generating the password required for opening the proprietary credit report is given to the requestor by e-mail.

In order to protect its authenticity, the proprietary credit report is electronically signed, which the requestor can easily authenticate.

Guidance on the verification of electronic signatures is provided in the document “Verifying electronic signatures in proprietary credit reports”.

Requestors are reminded of the risks in using the internet. In the case of electronic delivery, BISZ Zrt. does not check whether the e-mail address provided by the requestor is correct. BISZ Zrt. is not liable for any failed delivery resulting from e-mail addresses specified incorrectly. BISZ Zrt. excludes any liability for damage resulting from the opening of the attachment or its incompatibility with any programs running on the user’s computer, or from any internet virus or other internet threat. BISZ Zrt. is not liable for any inconvenience resulting from the use of any e-mail accounts by persons other than the owner, or the unauthorised use of passwords.

With regard to the foregoing, please use extra care when managing the e-mail account specified as your delivery address.

In the event of failed delivery resulting from an incorrectly specified e-mail address, the requestor is required to submit a new request to receive their proprietary credit report.

Information on proprietary credit reports delivered by post

Where the requestor submits a request for their proprietary credit report via a reference data provider, BISZ Zrt. will return the response generated on the basis of the proprietary credit report transaction in printed form in a sealed envelope to the centre of the reference data provider submitting the transaction. The sealed and intact envelope containing the proprietary credit report issued for the requestor is forwarded by the reference data provider’s administrator to the mailing address provided by the requestor, posted with a certificate of delivery attached.

Where the requestor submits a request for their proprietary credit report directly via us, we will send the report directly to the mailing address specified in the request.

In the case of postal delivery, where the proprietary credit report sent with a certificate of delivery is not collected by the requestor and is returned to the reference data provider or BISZ Zrt., the report will be destroyed upon return. Following destruction of the report, the requestor is required to submit a new request to receive their proprietary credit report.

Documents required to be presented for the purpose of requesting proprietary credit reports
  • For natural persons

The requestor’s identification and address data. Valid identity card and address card, passport, or any other certificate acceptable as proof of identity under Act LXVI of 1992 on Keeping Records on the Personal Data and Address of Citizens.

  • For non-natural persons (businesses)

The requestor’s identification and address data, specimen signature, and the certificate of incorporation and constitutive document of the business.

Access to data in the Central Credit Information system

In the case of natural persons who previously worked in the territory of Hungary, foreign financial institutions routinely request information, for the purpose of credit assessments, on whether the person applying for a loan previously had any loans in Hungary.

Under the KHR Act, financial institutions operating outside Hungary are not subscribers to the Hungarian KHR system, and as such they cannot obtain the data required for their credit assessments directly from the system.

For the above reasons, we recommend that Hungarian citizens working abroad or foreign persons with income from Hungary should request their proprietary credit reports in respect of their proprietary data for their loan applications with foreign financial institutions. Prepared in Hungarian, this document provides official information on all reference data held on record about the requestor in the Central Credit Information System in Hungary, which foreign financial institutions may use for their credit assessments.

Under Act CXXII of 2011 on the Central Credit Information System (“KHR Act”), proprietary credit reports may be requested via any Hungarian financial institution or directly from BISZ Zrt. by submitting a previously completed form by post or in person.

The English version of the form required to request proprietary credit reports (easy to complete for foreign citizens as well) is available at the bottom of the page in the Downloadable documents section.

Proprietary credit reports may be requested without any restrictions, free of any charges or other fees to the requestor.

Based on the request received, the proprietary credit report is generated by BISZ Zrt. within 3 days and is sent, according to the requestor’s choice of delivery method indicated in the request form, either electronically in a compressed and password-protected e-mail attachment, or by posting the document to the requestor’s mailing address with a certificate of delivery attached (a foreign address may also be provided).

We do not set an original seal or signature on proprietary credit reports, as they qualify as true copies without such features.

Proprietary credit reports are generated and delivered in Hungarian. Translations into any foreign language are the responsibility of the requestor.
